Learn to Implement One of the Best Organizational Change Tools in this 3-Day Interactive Workshop

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is one of the most successful tools to implement positive change in the workplace.  Your facilitator, Geri England, has used it many times over the years after learning it from its creator, David Cooperrider.

The AI method is applicable in all types of organizational cultures including corporate, governmental, social non-profit, community and religious entities.  In this workshop on Appreciative Inquiry Applications for Organizational Change, you will experience first hand the AI process as a full participant.  Then you will learn how to the design and apply the AI method through a hands-on, interactive process.  As a result, you will be able to lead positive change in your organization or with your clients.

Why is AI Such an Effective Tool for Positive Change?

For almost 30 years Appreciative Inquiry has proved to be a powerful process for managing change.  Its basis is a shift from problem-focus to possibility-focus.  This shift towards a positive rather than a negative view leads to a number of other benefits:

Instructor/Facilitator

Geri England, Storytelling Expert

Geri England is an author, speaker, executive coach, organization development consultant.  She serves on the faculty at the University of Texas at Dallas where she teaches Appreciative Coaching in the Naveen Jindal School of Management.  She is an Appreciative Inquiry (AI) facilitator trained through the Taos Institute and was mentored by the founder of AI, David Cooperrider, Professor at Case Western University.  She also collaborated with early pioneers and practitioners of Appreciative Inquiry, including Diana Whitney and Jane Magruder Watkins.  In addition, she co-authored a book on AI called The Gift and Practitioners’ Guide to Positive Questions.

Geri was a key member of the core team that designed and led a culture change initiative for GTE and Verizon involving over 60,000 employees after a significant company-wide downsizing.  The layoffs led to unparalleled employee dissatisfaction, negativity, low morale, declining productivity, and poor customer service among employees.

AI Methodology was the key tool used for managing change and reengaging employees.  As a result of the success of this initiative GTE won the prestigious ATD Benchmarking Award for Culture Change.

“Geri England is a master facilitator who knows how to make the Appreciative Inquiry process fun and engaging.  Her depth of knowledge and experience is astounding and her generosity in sharing her wisdom is unequaled.  She knows how to bring the material to life and makes sure that those attending leave with “how-to” materials and experience to lead their own workshops.  Whatever the subject matter, you’re in good hands with Geri England…and ‘dog gone it, people like her’”.
